Would you give up the thing that mattered most to you to do the right thing? Israel is faced with this decision now with the new peace talks with the Palestinians. Olmert is willing to throw in pieces of Jerusalem to the Palestinians in order to make this peace talk a reality. Not the old city of coarse, he's talking about areas that are already primarily Muslim and very few Jewish lives would be effected by this. I understand why some people believe the Palestinians are beyond talking, but if it works I can't see how those people can put together a fair argument.
The bigger question which everyone must ask is what is really more important: Jerusalem or Peace? I mean Jerusalem is important to everyone, but does its importance outway the posibility of peace? Could Jerusalems ultimate purpose be to sacrifice itself in order to give all citizens a chance to come together? Is Jerusalem worth all the countless innocent deaths that its very exsistence has caused?

Ohhhh Dov, I'm responding here to ur response of my last post. So I do agree with you that Canada promotes how great and multicultural we are but. Why should they adapt and accept our princibles? Well why should we adapt and accept their princibles? I mean this argument can go on forever, but from my view, it's not so much our multicultural society, it's the Muslims within it that I see complain about our standards. What has every other immigrant done in Canada that the Muslims don't, why do we only hear them complain? Thats my point, it's not the fact that we should be accepting to all cultures. It's the fact that the Muslims are the only ones not accepting our standards when they immigrated here. I just feel they should not be complaining so much, we accepted them into the country, now why are they criticizing our standards that have been around forever, and not changed.
Ehud Olmert has no right to offer Jerusalem to the Arabs. Just because he is anti-zionist, a big idiot, a slimy politician trying to keep his job, it doesn't mean that he can give away the Jewish people's capital. Not only do most Israeli's not agree with him, giving Jerusalem away would not solve anything. The Arabs will just take, continue to be violent, and then ask for more. David Ben-Gurion is turning in his grave.
